ST. LOUIS - August 14, 2008 - Rhonda Ries Aguilar, Osborn & Barr’s chief financial officer (CFO), has been named one of St. Louis’ Most Influential Business Women of 2008 by the St. Louis Business Journal.

Ries Aguilar has served as O&B’s CFO since 2003. She began her career with O&B as an accounting coordinator and has been with the agency for 16 of its 20 years.

Ries Aguilar says she recognizes that she has been blessed with many opportunities throughout her professional career, and she attributes her accomplishments to balance. In her career, she works hard to provide valuable contributions while balancing all aspects of her life.

“I am a working mother and wife and manage the financial and operational aspects of a growing advertising agency,” Ries Aguilar says. “Like many accomplished professional women and working mothers, I balance a lot.”

Recognized throughout St. Louis and the industry, Ries Aguilar’s professionalism provides O&B’s clients with dependable service and security, and has made her a trusted and valuable part of the agency. O&B President Joe Osborn believes Ries Aguilar’s success in the industry and with the agency relates to her ability to work toward the future.

In her time with O&B, Ries Aguilar has helped strengthen the agency’s support system, expanding the company’s IT, human resources and financial services departments. She negotiates and administers more than 30 contracts annually, and most recently, Ries Aguilar led O&B’s search and negotiation for a new corporate headquarters in downtown St. Louis that will support the expanding agency she has helped strengthen. Construction on O&B’s downtown location - the Cupples 9 Building - began Aug. 11.

Nationally, Ries Aguilar serves on the American Association of Advertising Agencies (AAAA) Finance Committee, is a member of the St. Louis AdClub Board and serves on the Advantage Software Board, as Agency Leader SIG, a leading agency management system.

For 10 years, the St. Louis Business Journal has named women to its Most Influential Business Women list. In 2008, 25 women were presented with the title and highlighted in the journal’s Aug. 8 issue. Winners from this and past years’ lists were honored at the Most Influential Business Women awards luncheon Aug. 8 at the Renaissance Grand Hotel. The event was sponsored by Bank of America, Armstrong Teasdale, Deloitte and the University of Missouri-St. Louis and was filled with nearly a thousand business, professional and family attendees.
