Osborn & Barr, founded in 1988 with four employees and a single account, has a staff of more than 175 professionals today. We are the largest agricultural and rural focused marketing communications agency in North America with U.S. offices in St. Louis and Kansas City.
We know the agricultural industry inside and out. Though the company has recently celebrated its 23rd year of business, the expertise actually began long before the company opened its doors as co-founders, Joe Osborn and Steve Barr, worked in various marketing and advertising positions for Monsanto and John Deere. Since then, the agency has hired personnel who are not only experts in the marketing and branding field, but many O&B employees were either raised on or currently operate a farm. So literally, agriculture is a personal passion for us. Qualifications The Digital Art Director is responsible for concepting and design of websites, banner ads, and other interactive media. This position also works collaboratively with a core team of creative directors, web producers, copywriters, programmers, and account teams. Other responsibilities include art direction of freelance illustrators and photographers, development of web style guides, and collaboration with print teams to develop consistent look and feel of integrated projects. The Digital Art Director will be tasked with:
- Identifying and creating wireframes;
- Concepting layouts and storyboards;
- Creating innovative design for the interactive space, while taking global communication strategies to the digital space;
- Ownership of projects from concept through design and development;
- Work with cross-functional teams to deliver on strategy.
Skills
We are looking for a strong conceptual creative thinker with exceptional skills in interactive art design. The ideal candidate will have three to five years experience working in digital art direction. This individual should possess: - Print art direction experience;
- Ability to manage and produce multiple projects within a fast-paced work environment;
- Conceptualize solutions and then transfer into an advertising product;
- Extraordinary conceptual and design skills;
- Presentation skills necessary for client meetings;
- Ability to develop well-organized PSD files;
- Expert proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator; a working knowledge of HTML, HTML5, Javascript, Flash and CSS.
